2 Best Coworking Spaces in Athens

Athens is arriving β€” slowly, on its own terms. The infrastructure has caught up, the creative scene is real, and the city is still affordable enough to feel like a discovery. These 2 coworking spaces carry Nomad Magazine on-site.

Why people work from Athens

Athens has dramatically improved its connectivity and workspace infrastructure in recent years. The cost of living is low, the food is extraordinary, and the combination of ancient city and modern startup energy is unlike anywhere else in Europe.

Neighbourhoods & location context

Monastiraki and Psirri are the creative heart β€” cafΓ©s, studios, and energy. Kolonaki is more upscale. Exarchia is rough-edged but fascinating. Koukaki (near the Acropolis) has become a quiet nomad favourite. Most coworking spaces cluster around the centre.

Impact Hub Athens

Coworking

Our Story

Impact Hub Athens was founded in 2013, at a time when the concept of social entrepreneurship in Greece was not yet fully developed. There was no clear ecosystem, nor a shared language around impactβ€”but there was a clear need. We started in a distinctive space in Psyrri with a simple idea: to create a meeting point for people who wanted to work differently more collaboratively, more openly, with a strong orientation toward society and the environment. At the beginning, we were primarily a community. People with ideas, teams looking for support, professionals who wanted to belong somewhere where entrepreneurship was not measured solely by financial indicators. Over the years, our role evolved. From a coworking space, we also became an organization designing and implementing programs. We supported early-stage teams as well as mature businesses and organizations seeking to redefine their footprint. We collaborated with public authorities, European institutions, and private partners on projects that went beyond theory and led to tangible outcomes. Today, Impact Hub Athens is simultaneously a space, a community, and a project implementation organization. It is people working together, programs running in different cities, and partnerships that extend beyond the boundaries of Athens and even beyond Greece.

Stone Soup

Coworking

Our Story

Stone Soup began in 2014, during the economic crisis in Greece, as a Social Cooperative with a clear mission: to support young professionals, unemployed individuals, and students by providing workspace, training, and job opportunities. We built Stone Soup ourselves. We painted the walls, repaired the infrastructure, and built or sourced the furniture, moving everything into place by hand. The space grew organically through use, shaped by the real needs of the people who worked in it. From the beginning, we focused not only on infrastructure, but on how a space makes people feel about their work and purpose. Over time, the space evolved into a full coworking hub with private offices, shared work areas, and meeting rooms that adapt to freelancers, startups, and growing teams. What remains unchanged is our commitment to community and collaboration. We intentionally operate at a human scale. While smaller than large corporate chains, we prioritize quality, reliable technology, and personal support. Our core offering covers essential professional needs, with the flexibility to tailor additional services when needed.
