Where To Work

2 Best Coworking Spaces in Amsterdam

Amsterdam is expensive, international, and unapologetically well-organised. If you can afford the city, it rewards you with excellent infrastructure, a genuinely global community, and canal views that make video calls feel more interesting. These 2 coworking spaces carry Nomad Magazine on-site.

Why people work from Amsterdam

Amsterdam has one of Europe's strongest startup and scale-up ecosystems. English is the de facto working language. The city is superbly connected β€” to the rest of Europe and internationally. Infrastructure is excellent and the culture of flexible, independent work is well-established.

Neighbourhoods & location context

Jordaan is beautiful and central but expensive. De Pijp has a younger, more creative vibe. The NDSM Wharf (North Amsterdam) is industrial-creative and popular with tech companies. Centrum is convenient but touristy. Oud-West has a quieter, residential character with good cafΓ© culture.

Who Amsterdam suits

Professionals who need European headquarters energy. Tech, design, and media workers who benefit from Amsterdam's international ecosystem. Those with a budget to match the city's ambitions.

Cost, vibe & best season

Amsterdam is one of Europe's most expensive cities β€” day passes from €20–35, monthly memberships from €250–500. Best months are April–October. The city is navigable entirely by bike and very walkable. Rain is frequent but rarely stops anyone.

Our Story

Workspace 6 was founded in 2010 and has been a hub for the creative scene in Amsterdam ever since. Visitors are alway initialy greeted by a mural by local graffiti legends, The London Police and walls, ceilings and aisles of bikes. Our community spans the gamut from graphic & industrial design to cacoa & kombucha entrepreneurs and, of course, web developers, marketeers, Blockchain, bike PR and even the occasional local cafe owner who we source our coffee beans from. We have a jazz series with local label Dox Records, screen films, host rides, and serves as a messenger alleycat checkpoint several times a year. We’re mobbed by BMX’ers every summer for the Bounty Hunters Jam and always have our ramps ready to roll out for impromptu sessions on the bike or skateboard. One of our confernce rooms is also a music studio with guitar, bass & PA + drums, piano and even a flat screen with an Nintendo 64 and old Xbox! We love to lunch together either in our dining room, on our patio or around the corner on the water. We’re frequently visited by friends, friends of friends and new firends that are freelancers looking for the coziest, most welcoming spot to hang, work, ride & shred situated under the tracks of Central Station! Come visit Workspace 6!
