Where To Work

1 Best Coworking Spaces in Albufeira

Albufeira is Portugal's Algarve β€” sun, Atlantic, and a coworking scene building itself alongside the surf crowd. This coworking space carries Nomad Magazine on-site, in a region where the seasons work in your favour.

Why people work from Albufeira

The Algarve has the best weather in mainland Europe β€” 300 days of sun, mild winters, and a coast that makes the working day feel less abstract. Connectivity has improved substantially as the nomad community has grown. English is widely spoken.

Neighbourhoods & location context

Albufeira's old town (Beco da Tira ChapΓ©us area) has the most character. The tourist strip along the beach is more seasonal. The surrounding towns β€” Armação de PΓͺra, Ferreiras β€” are quieter year-round bases. The whole region is best explored with a car.

Who Albufeira suits

Nomads who surf or swim as part of their working rhythm. Those escaping Northern European winters without flying to Asia. Remote workers who want a Portuguese base with more sun than Lisbon.

Cost, vibe & best season

The Algarve is Portugal but pricier in peak season (July–August). October–April is the sweet spot β€” warm, quiet, and genuinely affordable. Day passes run €10–18. A car is useful.

Our Story

It’s really been a ride opening Albufeira coworking! I, Rebecca, was so fed up by working from the kitchen, longing for connection and community - and together with my partner Ivo, we decided to do something about it. The idea was not only to have a shared space, but create a meeting point and community for people in similar situation. A place to share and exchange ideas, connect and help each other to grow (and have fun of course) . We couldn't be the only ones in Albufeira being in this situation? After a lot of research and long hunt for the perfect venue (that's a whole another story!) we finally got the keys to Rua do TΓ©nis 13, in the heart of Albufeira πŸšͺπŸ”‘. It’s a small place with 22 seats, but with a lot of heart. The doors opened at the end of November 2023. We are so lucky to have a group of amazing people sitting with us πŸ™Œ. It's freelancers, entrepreneurs, remote workers and employees, locals and expats, staying long-term and short-term. Programmers, designers, marketers, traders.. Whether you're looking for a place to work, network and grow or simply want to hang out over a beer or two - you are warm welcome to join the community.
