Where To Work

9 Best Coworking Spaces in Barcelona

Barcelona earns its reputation. The light is different here, the pace is different, and somehow the work feels different too. These 9 coworking spaces carry Nomad Magazine on-site — our signal they genuinely welcome remote workers.

Why people work from Barcelona

Strong infrastructure, year-round sun, and a city that takes work culture seriously. Barcelona has a proper tech and startup ecosystem, fast fibre everywhere, and enough nomads passing through that you'll never struggle to find people to collaborate with.

Neighbourhoods & location context

The 22@ district in Poblenou is the official innovation quarter, but El Born, Eixample, and Gràcia each have their own working character. Most of the spaces on this list are in the centre — walkable, caffeinated, and plugged in.

Who Barcelona suits

Remote workers who want a European base with beach access, a serious food scene, and a social life that doesn't require effort. Good for designers, developers, founders, and anyone who thrives in a city that mixes ambition with pleasure.

Cost, vibe & best season

Barcelona runs pricier than Lisbon or Tbilisi but still reasonable by Western European standards. Best seasons are April–June and September–October — summer is crowded and sweltering. Day passes at most spaces run €15–25.

La Vaca Coworking

Coworking

Our Story

La Vaca is a big former dairy turned into a creative and relaxed Coworking in Barcelona city center, district of Poble Sec. Once, people used to get milk from this space; and now we are working from a vibrant and dynamic space called “La Vaca” which meand “The Cow”. We have a self service Cafeteria where we provide water, tea, coffee and milk for free. A bright and spacious ground floor where there are plenty of comfortable workstations. In the Basement we have a meeting room and other shared desks. Skype room, projectors, printer and scanner are also provided. Chill in our comfortable living room and just feel at home at la Vaca. What really makes La Vaca Coworking special is our vibrant and strong community, genuine connections and friendships among our coworkers.

Frequently asked questions

Is Barcelona good for digital nomads?
Yes — Barcelona has strong infrastructure, a large expat and nomad community, and a quality of life that's hard to match in Europe. English is widely spoken in coworking spaces, and the city is well-connected internationally.
What neighbourhoods are best for coworking in Barcelona?
Poblenou (22@ district) is the tech hub, but Eixample, El Born, and Gràcia all have excellent independent spaces. Most nomads base themselves in Eixample for central access to everything.
How much does a coworking day pass cost in Barcelona?
Expect €15–25 for a hot desk day pass. Monthly memberships typically range from €180–350 depending on the space and access hours.
What's the best time of year to work from Barcelona?
April–June and September–October are ideal — good weather without peak-tourist crowds. July and August are very hot and the city fills with tourists, which pushes up prices and noise.
